Christmas!

I am just going to post the pictures for the whole Christmas season.  They will include pictures from:
Our Ward Christmas Party!

Our Christmas Decorations!

Jenny's Kindergarten Christmas Program  (she was Mary) and the matching skirts that I made for her and Alyssa!

Photo shoot (by me) for our Christmas Card

The Snow Family Christmas Party!

The Christmas Eve Open House at the Nuttall's

Well, I think that covers everything but Christmas day, and that is going to have to be another post!  Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Halloween

OK, so I have to backtrack a little more than I thought.  Here are some cute pictures from Halloween!  (It was a fun but very crazy day due to the having the baptism that morning!)  There are also a couple pictures from the kid's school the day before Halloween.
Jenny walking across the "stage" at school as part of the Halloween costume parade!
Sitting in the hallway with her class watching the rest of the school parade by.  What a cute Go-Go Girl she made!
Stephen waiting with his class to parade across the stage!  He was Zorro (it was easier to tell with the mask, but mask's aren't allowed at school).
Stephen's teacher Mrs. Vorkink.  (I would have taken a picture of Jenny's teacher too, but she had to stay home due to being sick.)
The principle Mrs. Heart!
We stopped by Grandma and Grandpa Hatch's house (my Mom was also there) before heading down to Mom and Dad Snow's to finish trick-or-treating.  No visit to Grandma and Grandpa Hatch's would be complete without a foray into the toy cupboard!

Trick-or-treating as a family!  Ryan was a pirate, Stephen was Zorro, Jenny was a Go-Go girl, Zack was a rock star, and Alyssa was a funky walrus!  (I was there,as a nurse, just behind the camera!)  The kids had a blast!  What a fun day!!!

Time to catch up on my blogging!

Ok, I once again find myself having put off blogging.  I'm not really sure why, other than the fact that I hate to write.  (Although if I would do it more often I am sure that it wouldn't be quite as big of a deal!)  So, there has been a lot to catch up on.  I will try to put the blogs up in cronological order, but I may loose patience for that and just put them up as they occur to me!

The Long Overdue Christmas Letter!

Well, I had every intention on getting a Christmas letter out this year.  I even wrote the letter and took the picture that I was going to send with it!  Then I realized that not only was I out of color in for my printer, I was out of black ink as well!  To top it all off, I couldn't remember my password so that I could upload the pictures and have them printed out locally for me!  Grrrrr!  As you can tell, by the time I got around to getting the ink (I never did figure out my password), Christmas was over and I felt it was too late to send out the letters!  So, I have decided to post the "Christmas Letter" and the accompaning picture on my blog!  You may all look forward to recieving an actual Christmas card, letter (on Christmas paper), and photo next year!  I hope you enjoy reading what our family has been up to over the last year!  (Especially since I am so good and blogging regularly, NOT!!! :)

December 2009

Dear Family and Friends,

Merry Christmas from the Snow family! We hope that this season finds you happy and well! The last year has been a wonderful year for our family, bringing many changes with it!

The first of the major changes was our daughter, Alyssa Lynn, was born a year ago September! We now have four adorable kids! Stephen is now 8, Jenny is 5, Zack is 4, and Alyssa is 14 months. The other major change for us this year is that we moved! We found a wonderful duplex in our neighborhood and moved in at the beginning of September.

Ryan is now working for Home Depot in Provo. He loves his job, and the chance to spend more time with the family! We feel very fortunate that he was able to get on with them when he did, and then to get full time status when the company was doing away with an entire department! What a blessing! Amy is keeping busy with the kids (school, homework, activities, etc.).

Stephen is now in second grade and doing wonderfully! He tested in the 95 percentile in Math, Reading, and Language Arts. We are so proud of him and all of the hard work that he puts in! He also turned 8 in October and was baptized on Halloween! We were so blessed to have so many of our family members and friends attend.

Jenny started Kindergarten in August! She is so excited to have started school. She has the same teacher that Stephen did for kindergarten, and just seems to just love her! The other major event for Jenny that happened this year is that she lost her first tooth! (It hardly seems like she is old enough to be losing teeth!)

Zack is trying to adjust to being the oldest at home for a good part of the day. He is just as active as ever! (I wish I had half the energy that he does!) It is so fun to watch Zack as he tries to do Jenny’s homework with her! What a cute and inquisitive kid!

Alyssa has grown so much over the last year! She is now walking and getting into everything! She loves to play with her siblings! Her favorite game, that can keep her entertained for hours, is Peak-a-Boo! It is so much fun to watch her learn and grow!

Well, there have been many more changes that have occurred over the last year, but I think we have covered the most important of them. This Christmas season our family just wants to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! We hope that this letter finds you and yours happy and healthy! We love you all and hope you have a Happy New Year!

Love,

The Snow Family

Stephen's Baptism!

OK, so I am looking at some of my friends blogs to see what is new in their lives, when much to my chagrin I realize that I have yet to update my own blog, and trust me a LOT has happened in the last six weeks! The first, and most important in my book, is that Stephen turned 8 on October 17th, and was baptized on October 31st! We had a wonderful turn out! Both my parents came along with one of my sisters, my grandparents, my aunt and uncle and their kids, Ryan's parents and several of his siblings and their kids, a couple of his friends from school, several good friends, and quite a few members of our ward! I especially want to thank my Mom for giving the talk on the Holy Ghost! It was a beautiful talk! I also wanted to tell Stephen and his friend Julie (one of the girls from our ward) thank you for singing a duet for us! It was a lovely service and the luncheon afterword was wonderful! Stephen, I am so proud of you for making the decision to be baptized! I love you and your wonderful spirit!

First Day of School

Hi Everyone! Sorry that I haven't been great about updating my blog. This summer has been a fun, but busy one around our house. (Then again when aren't things crazy at our house?) I know that I am going to be p0sting things out of order for a while, but I want to get some of the great pictures that I have taken posted. I am starting with the first day of school for Stephen and Jenny.

Stephen was so excited to be starting 2nd grade! (I know that he doesn't look like it in the picture, but I had called him back from getting into the van to take the picture and he was concerned that he would be late for school!)

Jenny actually started Kindergarten a week later. (The school has placement testing for the Kindergartners the first week of school for all the other grades.) She was so excited to be going to school! She even has the same teacher that Stephen did for Kindergarten.

I just had to include this last photo. They were in such a hurry to go to school that they didn't even give me a chance to take a picture of them walking to the van!
